The
Roots
of my
Work
The roots of my work come from both rigorous training and lived transformation; bodywork, energy healing, yoga, and natural shamanism woven together through years of study, devotion, and real-life initiation. I’ve walked into the depths of my own nervous system and lineage, invested in ongoing training through The Global University of Integrative Healing, and in the process reclaimed my agency and embodied my path. This work is rooted in direct experience, trauma-informed practice, and a deep respect for the body’s innate intelligence.
My healing journey began in 2009, when I experienced a crystal healer and kinesiologist for the first time. The session was profound, not in a dramatic sense, but in a way that felt deeply true. Something in my body recognised what real healing could be.
Soon after, I trained in Reiki (Level One), and in 2010 returned to college to study Swedish massage, reflexology, aromatherapy, Indian head massage, hot stone therapy, and anatomy and physiology. I went on to build a successful bodywork practice, working in a range of settings including The Pig near Bath, where I supported high-profile and celebrity clients such as Jude Law and Tim Henman.
Over time, my work became known for its ability to weave together the physical and energetic layers of healing — grounded, skilled, and deeply intuitive. I later established a home practice in Bath.
And yet, I knew there was more.
As my spiritual path deepened, I was guided to Hoppi Wimbush and the Lammas Earth Centre, where I undertook a two-year Shamanic Practitioner training. This training was immersive and trauma-informed, rooted in natural shamanism. We worked first on ourselves, then learned how to safely hold space for others through practices such as soul retrieval, ancestral healing, and shamanic journeying, including journeying on behalf of others.
I completed my Yoga Teacher Training through Yogasara. I began my 250-hour training before becoming pregnant and completed it during my pregnancy, deepening my relationship with embodied practice and the nervous system.
Before and during my pregnancy, I was the healthiest I had ever been — physically, emotionally, and energetically. I prepared intentionally for birth and had the experience I had hoped for: an unassisted home birth in my living room birth pool. It was powerful, humbling, and deeply affirming.
After my daughter was born, however, my world changed in ways I could never have anticipated.
Despite being a calm, loving, and present mother, I was severely depleted. I lacked the support, nourishment, and financial stability I needed. Anxiety took hold, and I found myself unable to access the very tools I had trained in. Trauma doesn’t ask how qualified you are, it lives in the nervous system.
When my daughter was still very young, she became critically unwell. What began as a routine illness led to hospitalisation, where doctors discovered a large hole in her heart and diagnosed her with congenital heart disease and high-risk pulmonary hypertension. She required urgent open-heart surgery.
That moment fractured something in me. I experienced dissociation, shock, and post-traumatic stress. My body held what my mind could not process.
In the aftermath, I turned to alcohol as a coping mechanism, a trauma response I was fully aware of, yet unable to interrupt at the time. This period taught me something vital: having tools is not the same as having support.
Healing began again when I allowed myself to be held.
I joined The House of Manifestation with Jana Bartlett Alonso, and later went on to invest more deeply in my training through The Global University of Integrative Healing. These spaces reminded me how healing unfolds, not through force, but through safety, inspiration, and consistent devotion.
The greatest turning point came when I took full responsibility for my life, without blame, without victimhood, and without bypassing what I had lived through. From that place, the upward spiral began.
Through this work, I not only rebuilt my nervous system and sense of self, I also manifested a stable, nourishing home for myself and my daughter. A foundation. A place where safety could land in the body again.
Today, I hold space for others from lived experience, not theory.
My work is trauma-informed, body-led, and rooted in responsibility, compassion, and truth. I don’t offer quick fixes or spiritual bypassing. I guide people into deeper contact with themselves, where real change becomes possible.
This work is for those who have already “done the work” and still feel something is held deeper.
For those ready to heal at the root.
And for those willing to meet themselves with honesty, courage, and care
